About Us
- Youth Care Center, Inc (YCC) is a 501 (c) 3 organization which provides Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) services for youth adults with severe and persistent mental illness to develop or restore independent living and social skills, including the ability fo make decisions regarding: life, self-care, illness management, and community participation; and promote access to and use of community resources to facilitate the individual's integration into the community, thereby facilitating recovery, and prevention relapse and re-hospitalization.
- YCC is proud to have done partnerships with NASA, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, The Board of Education of Worcester County, Wicomico County Health Department, Minorities of Agriculture to name a few.
Our History
The Youth Care Center, Inc. (YCC) is a 501 (c)3 organization that has operated on Maryland’s Eastern Shore for 20 years. YCC’s man program components provide quality human services tat result in our clients being able to reaffirm a sense of hope in their futures. We are particularly proud of our Clinical Mentoring Program. This is a service offered to youth of various ages that emphasizes using nurturing relationships between mentor and mentee to influence the oulook of struggling young people.
Previously funded by the state, we have a track record of success, and we are confident that we made a difference with our interventions, touching over 200 mentees.
